Mr. Raaja Kanwar is the founder of Apollo International Limited, a part of the Apollo Group and a rapidly growing company in itself.

Mr. Raaja Kanwar holds a management degree from Drexel University, USA. It was his zeal to venture into something new and challenging that made him choose to lead Apollo Group's diversification plans instead of his natural progression into the tyre business.

Mr. Raaja Kanwar set the stage for the group's expansion through Apollo International Limited (AIL) and spearheaded its venture into Integrated Logistics Business, Digital Cinema, Distribution and Marketing of Tyres, International Business in Products, Equipment & Projects and Manufacturing and Export of Leather Garments & Accessories.

Led by his vision of "Nurturing entrepreneurship through partnership," AIL has emerged as a diversified business entity with global footprints. Testimony to its success and promising future, AIL has been recognized as a "Global Growth Company" by the World Economic Forum.

Mr. Raaja Kanwar is a member of several prestigious organisations including Young President's Organisation and World Economic Forum. He currently chairs the FICCI Logistics Forum, which is a platform for the Logistics Industry in India to voice its opinion and concerns.

'The Hollywood Reporter' identified him as one of the top five innovators in the media and entertainment industry, globally. The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh, also acknowledged Mr. Raaja Kanwar for his contribution towards the growth of digital cinema in India.

As a Director at UFO Moviez, Mr. Raaja Kanwar is also a proud recipient of the IIFA award for the 'Biggest Innovation in the Film Industry' at the 8th International Indian Film Academy Awards held at Yorkshire, England, in June 2007.
